Pure Nuff Stuff

Is it real - or is there something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about?!!! On a serious point though, I have never carried my mobile phone on myself unless switched off. I have always had worries about all these radiation / emissions concerns. Maybe I am just a little bit too cautious but after seeing the clip who knows?

I can't vouch for it at the moment

But I'm going to try this at the weekend myself, I'll let you know what happens. My father always said he'd never have a mobile becuase it was the same in his mind as sticking your head in a microwave oven (he was a rocket scientist, no, really, he was) so I should have listened to him shouldn't I? He wouldn't allow a microwave in the house either....

Hmmmm?

I think it would be possible to pop corn like this...however it would not suprise me if there was some sort of condition i.e. precise overlap/positioning of the signals? Will be waiting with baited breath for the results, thank goodness my phone is always in my bag! On a rational note the length of microwaves would suggest to me that you are unlikley to cook unless you are unlucky enough to have several waves overlapping at precisely the right point at the right time!!

Report on "cooking popcorn with your mobile phone" test carried out at the Dock Inn on Saturday night at 8:00

Four volunteers lined up thier phones in the same manner as displayed in the video link above, a further 4 called those phones on the table. The corn placed in the middle of those phones did indeed pop very spectacularly.

The really surprising bit was that, far from being scared or surprised, the participants just wanted to play that game over and over again. The result of this test is concluded - if you want to amuse your friends in the pub, then bring a lot more corn than I did. Oh, and mobile phone signals should not be crossed.

Sorry....

...well, I seem to have interpreted your 80/20 mascara discussion completely the wrong the way - so, my apologies to you. I'm just so irate with all this junk that is being put into toiletries maybe I become a bit irrational times! The books you recommended have arrived and I've had a quick look - I think they will make a good read. I'll start with Skin Deep - it looks the easiest - I'm a bit busy at the moment but when I have read it I will definately let you know what I think - as you have probably gathered by now - I'm quite fond of airing my opinions. I hope you don't mind but I came across two online natural /organic sites that didn't stock your brand - so I dropped them an Email to tell them about PNS and that they should consider stocking your products. The mobile issue is a little worrying - I don't use my mobile a lot but what if your job involved been sat in an office all day with everyone having a mobile - a bit scary - you could end up being frazzled!!!

Oh don't you give it a second thought

Please don't apologise, I wasn't clear was I? And I'm delighted you like to share your opinions, really I am - I think it's vital that our customers talk to us and that we listen. But most of all we love it that you're as passionate about the subject as we are, it's nice to know we're not working in a vacuum here :)

So, let me know how you get on with the books, I know I'll be re-writing some bits on the site as a result of my reading recently. And I'll be adding a new page with a sort of summary of some of the top nasties and why we don't use them too, I'm just on with that now.

And finally, yes, the mobile thing is worrying, we must get caught in crossed signals all the time (on trains for example and like you said, in the office). I don't like it one bit.
