Twitter, we have succumbed

You can now find us on Twitter, I'm still learning about it though, so let me know if you have any suggestions.

Oh and while beetling about on the interwebulator I found this report by Greenpeace.  I weep, really I do, but I'm very, very grateful they're there.

So scary.....
The thought of nuclear power stations sends shudders down my spine and to think that more are in the pipeline! I know we can't get all our energy from renewables but there are new and much cleaner ways of burning coal these days. I believe they are quite good at it in Germany. Maybe this 80/20 principle of yours applies in this case - nuclear accident or more pollution? We are not exactly short of coal in this country but then there will be people who quite rightly would not want to live near a coal powered station -its definitely a problem. However, on to things more cheery: I have just run through the list of ingredients in my Dad's mouthwash with him. His reaction - he poured it down the toilet and said 'I won't be using that again!

Terrifying isn't it?

Hello by the way, hope you're well :)

And yes, it's utterly terrifying and I really don't know the answer to be honest, there's so much conflicting information on the different energies that I struggle to keep up with it all.  I'm not sure coal's the answer, but wind and solar energies just aren't quite widespread enough.  Wave generation has moved on in leaps and bounds in recent years, but with all of them we have storage and distribution issues to sort out still.  The problem is that we're being frightened into accepting short-sighted technologies (energy saving bulbs for example, I'm really not convinced that exposure to mercury is a step in the right direction) when what we need is a cohesive plan that suits industry as well as the private consumer.

*steps off soap box*

And wow, what a result with your dad's mouthwash!!!  What was is specifically that convinced him?  Is he pretty open-minded or was this all a revelation to him?

Just sussed it all out......
.....well, I understand why you are doing it - especially as it helps promote the PNS brand and thats a good thing but I hope that it doesn't take over from the PNS blog. To be honest, its not really my cup of tea - I prefer the intimacy of the PNS blog - so please don't stop the blog!

Have no fear
The blog and Twitter have two different purposes, the blog is much more personal and Twitter is much more business focussed for us, it's a way to reach out to other manufacturers for example. And apart from anything else, Twitter limits you to something like 146 characters per post, looking at my previous blog posts, there's no way on earth I could limit myself to that indefinately!!
